Offloading the grain into a dump trailer using the auger attachment from a Model 45 roundback John Deere Combine. I got just under 10000 lbs of wheat from a 5 acre field with this combine. Not bad for 1950's technology. The concave was set perfectly, as I didn't lose hardly anything out the back, but we weren't getting any cracked shells either. 12.5% moisture which is great, but the test weight came back light - 54.5 lbs per bushel. I got docked pretty heavily for that. Next year I'll plant a heavier bearing seed. Not bad for my first year out, though. We'll have 2x's as many acres in wheat next year, and this field will be planted in soybeans. This was a blast to do, despite the 98 degree weather!
